HD and Tero show how condition monitoring and maintenance management work together

HD is taking part in Lagarlífi at Harpa, where the company, together with Tero, will demonstrate how condition monitoring, maintenance services and maintenance management can work together to enhance operational reliability.

The focus will be on demonstrating how information about equipment condition is utilised throughout the maintenance process – from the detection of a deviation until the appropriate action is taken.

HD provides expertise in condition monitoring, maintenance and repairs. Tero adds solutions for maintenance management, covering equipment, maintenance history, jobs, spare parts, documents and costs.

„Condition monitoring provides information about what is happening with the equipment. The value, however, is greatest when that information leads in a systematic way to the correct actions. By linking condition monitoring, maintenance and maintenance management, it is possible to respond earlier and plan maintenance more effectively,“ says Valgeir Pétursson, Technical Director at HD.

Tero has over 30 years' experience in maintenance management solutions, and the company's systems are used, among other areas, in fisheries and aquaculture.

„Maintenance management isn't just about recording what has been done, but about having the right information available when maintenance decisions are made. By better integrating information from condition assessments into the maintenance process, it is possible to support more targeted and preventative maintenance,“ says Friðgeir Ásgeirsson, Managing Director of Tero.

The aim is to detect deviations earlier, make maintenance needs visible, and initiate the correct task before a minor deviation develops into a failure or an unexpected shutdown.
