The largest Samorkuþing ever has now come to an end, and Samorka is truly to be commended for organising this splendid and well-organised event.
At the conference, numerous stakeholders from the energy sector came together to share experiences and solutions – and to strengthen their networks.
It was particularly pleasing to Johann Pall Johannsson, Minister for the Environment, Energy and Climate, visited the HD stand, He was briefed on the company's priorities and vision and discussed the importance of domestic service for the operational security of energy infrastructure – where proximity and knowledge of Icelandic conditions are crucial when it matters most.
HD had seven representatives at the conference, and of these, two gave presentations: Árni Jakob Ólafsson, Director of Power Plants, on the importance of building a domestic maintenance and response capability to ensure the operational security of energy infrastructure. Sustainable maintenance is not just an advantage – it is the key to a secure energy system. Furthermore, Simon Thor Hansen, Technical consultant, short talk on how HD serves heat networks with operational security as a guiding principle.
We are proud to take part in building secure and sustainable energy infrastructure for the future. HD thanks Co-operation for a great conference – and we look forward to the next one.
