HD's operations at Hvalstangi began in 2009 with the construction of a fully-equipped machine shop and steelworks, marking the start of a robust service for industry in West Iceland – including at Hvalstangi, Akranes, Borgarnes and the surrounding areas.
At Grundartangi, a diverse team of specialised staff with extensive expertise in technology, metalwork, mechanical engineering, technical services, and the maintenance of industrial infrastructure is employed.
