HD has appointed Valgeir P\u00e9tursson as Director of the company's new Technology Division. In the new organisational structure, the Technology and Condition Monitoring departments will be combined under one strong division, which will strengthen HD's technical leadership and support the company's continued growth and development.<\/strong><\/h4>

Synergy and benefits for customers <\/strong>
The merger strengthens the interplay between development, design, monitoring and condition assessments. The teams will work more closely together on specialised solutions for the industrial, fisheries and energy sectors, with a greater focus on a data-driven approach, real-time monitoring and targeted maintenance decisions. The aim is a clearer workflow, faster resolution of complex projects, and increased operational security and efficiency for clients.<\/p>

Leadership and experience<\/strong>
Valgeir is a qualified mechanical engineer with extensive experience in specialised technical solutions for the Icelandic industry. He has worked for leading companies in the design and construction of technical and equipment systems for industry, both in Iceland and abroad, and has held a variety of design and project management roles. In 2012, he joined \u00d6ssur where he worked on the development of orthotic and support products and, in his later years, managed an international development team that created advanced, user-centred products.<\/p>
